This long stretch of highway near Little Rock in Central Arkansas continues to spin ghostly tales of apparitions that can't be explained. Ghostl-like orbs have been seen floating in the air, and a winged creature that flies toward your window has been reported and then flies away into the wooded forests. Another story is about a woman hitchhiker who is seen wandering the road distressed in a worn-out tattered dress when it's raining. Supposedly if you offer her a ride she will tell you where she lives but vanishes once you arrive. The claim is that she was killed in a car accident on that road near the town of Redfield many years ago.

This stretch of highway is eerily similar to the Woodson Lateral Road story where a ghost apparition of a woman hitchhiker is seen only to vanish into thin air. There is also an urban legend that if you stop on the road at night turn off your headlights and honk three times the lights of a motorcycle can be seen approaching your car only to pass straight through it leaving you terrified.

This haunted road is located in Sheridan, Arkansas a suburb of Little Rock, people who have driven this road have reported seeing apparitions of ghosts walking into a cemetery off the highway. Maybe it's just an overactive imagination but folks swear that their electronic devices and radio do not work when traveling down this section of the road. The most haunted tail is that of the Headless Car Chaser which will follow your car for about a quarter of a mile before vanishing back into the woods. Legend has it that it was a workman who used to work at a timber yard and lost his head in an accident.

Whether any of these stories are true or just some local folklore you should stay off these haunted highways in Central Arkansas after dark.
