Texarkana’s United Way Launches New Approach For School Supply Drive
The United Way of Greater Texarkana kicks off its annual "Stuff The Bus" program." The campaign began in 2011 and is designed to ensure every child across more than 30 area schools has the tools needed to succeed in the classroom on the first day of school and throughout the school year.
Changing Lives and Changing Ways to Donate This Year
The United Way is asking for monetary donations that will be used to directly support local students with essential classroom materials, backpacks, hygiene items, and more, instead of the standard way of collecting supplies.
According to a press release, donations to the “Stuff the Bus” fund will be distributed equitably among over 30 schools in the Greater Texarkana area, helping teachers, counselors, and administrators provide real-time support to students and families in need. Any help you can give is very much appreciated by the United Way of Greater Texarkana.
