SUNNY SWEENEY'S song "From A Table Away" has hit #10 on "Billboard's" Top Country Songs chart.  It's the highest-charting debut single from a solo female country artist since TAYLOR SWIFT'S "Tim McGraw" peaked at #6 in 2007.

So I guess it's a good thing Sunny gave up her career as a comic.  Several years ago she moved to New York City to try her hand at improv comedy.

Sunny was good enough to get into a comedy troupe that performed around town.  But somewhere along the line her fellow troupe members gave her some crucial career advice.  They told her to go back to singing.

It's not that Sunny's a lousy comic... but she clearly IS a skilled singer.  So she moved back to her native Texas and focused on what she does best.

By the way, the news gets better for Sunny.  She's been announced as one of the opening acts on BRAD PAISLEY'S "H2O II:  Wetter & Wilder World Tour"... along with BLAKE SHELTON and JERROD NIEMANN.

(We want to know... What career did you give up because someone else wisely convinced you to go in a different direction?)
