Tacos N' Tunes Tres Returns to Texarkana Sept. 20-21

Get ready to enjoy a great event with awesome music, tasty food, and a chance to support two organizations that make a difference in the lives of children right here in our area.

Tacos N’ Tunes Tres is returning to Texarkana Sunday, September 20 and Monday, September 21, bringing together a benefit concert and golf tournament to raise money for the Children's Advocacy Center of Texarkana and CASA for Children.

Live Music and Dinner on Sunday, September 20

The fun kicks off Sunday, September 20, at Northridge Country Club with a benefit concert beginning at 3:30 PM.

Headlining this year's event is Jackson Wendell, joined by special guests Jerry DeLeon & Southbound and I've Heard Worse (Yes, that's the name of the band)

You can also enjoy dinner prepared by Ta Molly's at 6 PM, making it an afternoon and evening filled with music, food, and helping local kids.

The golf tournament will take place Monday, September 21, at Northridge Country Club located at 120 Bill Rogers Drive in Texarkana, Texas.

There will be two golfing flights: the first one with registration beginning at 7:30 AM, followed by a shotgun start at 8 AM.

The second flight will start registration at 11:30 AM, with a shotgun start after lunch at 1 PM. Texas Roadhouse will cater lunch.

The four-person scramble tournament includes Green Fee, Cart, Gift Package and Lunch.

Entry is $1,250 per four-person team.

Supporting Local Children

Proceeds from the event will benefit CASA for Children and the Children's Advocacy Center of Texarkana, two organizations dedicated to helping children facing difficult circumstances throughout the region.

CASA volunteers advocate for children involved in the foster care system, while the Children's Advocacy Center provides services and support for children who have experienced abuse.

Tunnel 2 Towers Steel Across America - Texarkana Stop - June 3, 2026

On the 25th anniversary year of 9/11, this steel beam from the Twin Towers in New York that fell on September 11, 2001, is a must-see. The ceremony was very well done and featured short speeches from both Texarkana Mayors and Fire Chiefs. I know many in attendance weren't even alive when the attack happened 25 years ago, but for those of us who remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when the planes struck the towers, it was an amazing thing to see and touch.
