We've all seen the public service announcement about bullying. It's a serious subject and it does get better! This is a funny twist on the whole thing. A warning to the popular kids in school.

How do you think a bully should be handled? If you live in Monona, Wisconsin and your kid bullies another kid, you could get fined! The city just passed an ordinance that will FINE parents if their kids are bullies.

This past weekend I was on Facebook and saw that my college roommate from a few years back :), Karen, had posted a news story about her daughter standing up to bullies. With social networking, bullying has turned into a serious problem in today's world.

Do you watch Celebrity Apprentice? I've watched it for years, but this season? I have held my tongue for as long as I can! I am appalled at Lisa Lampanelli's behavior!

Bullying has become very serious in schools nationwide and sad to say it has made it into the social media world it's called Cyberbulling. Did you know that 58% of students admit that someone has said something hurtful to them online.

I read an article this morning that said most parents aren't quite sure how to handle a bullying situation where their child is the one being bullied, which is probably why so many kids are being bullied every year. As someone who experienced bullying firsthand as a kid, and has had kids in school for the last 14 years, here are my thoughts.

Bullying is a big problem for kids today.  I think more so then we were kids because of social networking. Think about it. Back in our day, we came across bullies at school, but then we went our safe haven - Home. Today, kids can still go home but  face bullying 24/7 through text messaging and social networks.

Yesterday marked the 12th anniversary of the Columbine School Massacre, when 13 people plus the killers died and 24 were wounded in a shooting rampage that still makes people wonder:  why did this happen and who is really to blame?

Apparently "tired" of a students messiness, a Tennessee kindergarten teacher tried a unique approach to get the student to clean up his act. She instructed her other students to encircle the boy, call him a pig and "oink" at him.
