As the Memorial Day holiday approaches, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is reminding all drivers of the importance of seat belt use. This annual campaign 'Click it or Ticket' is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s national Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement effort that runs from May 20, to June 2, 2019.

A tragedy involving a Texas teenage girl could have been avoided if she had been wearing her safety belt.

This Thanksgiving, Hope Law Enforcement is teaming up with law enforcement agencies across the country on a high-visibility Click It or Ticket mobilization to make sure all Thanksgiving travelers are wearing their seat belts.

The Nash, Texas Police Department received a $3,000 check from the Texas Department of Transportation for participation in the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket Campaign.

Taking those few seconds to buckle your seat belt is the most important step you can take to protect yourself in a crash.
