Nash, Texas Police Win Award for Click It or Ticket Campaign

The Nash, Texas Police Department received a $3,000 check from the Texas Department of Transportation for participation in the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket Campaign.

The check was one of 15 presented by TxDOT as part of an incentive program to encourage law enforcement agencies to participate in the program.

The winners were chosen at random from the 132 agencies participated in the program throughout the state of Texas. The agencies can use the funding to purchase more enforcement equipment, training of officers or safety education programs for the public.

Each winning office has until September 30, 2017 to use the funds. To be eligible for the program, agencies must participate in the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket Mobilization Campaign and have all their enforcement activities logged and reported.
