You would think anything chocolate-related would be the undisputed champ of Easter, but that's not the case.

Easter Sunday is April 1. So, if you haven't picked up any Easter candy yet, chances are you will be buying some pretty soon.

Which candy will be at the forefront of your basket this year?

Oh no. Say it isn't so. It appears from a survey that those delicious squishy marshmallow Peeps are no longer the number one Easter confection. Yes, many parents across the country are likely secretly rejoicing that maybe this year sugary chicks and rabbits (Peeps were originally chicks) won't be smashed into their carpets and furniture.

Spring is in the air and the glorious time of Easter is almost here. This weekend will conjure up memories of Easter egg hunting with the family. I remember after church one year we had an egg hunt on the church grounds and after all these years I still get excited about finding the golden prize egg and a bunch of candy.

Easter is this Sunday. Easter is the second biggest holiday or occasion for candy, Halloween being number one. Last year Americans consumed over 7 billion pounds of Easter candy! No doubt American's love Easter candy. Chocolate of course is the most popular. That would be mine too!! Anything chocolate, I can't live without Cadbury Mini Eggs!
