Arkansas and Texas Eclipse travelers, you better pay attention to this. When I first saw this story yesterday, April 1, I thought for sure it was some kind of April Fools Joke. Apparently, it is not a joke. The path of the April 8, 2024, eclipse has indeed shifted a bit, and gotten a little wider.

Friday night was a wrap for three area teams, Daingerfield, Gilmer and Prescott, but the good news is, two area teams are still in it, and they both might just win it all.

- Big Friday night of high school playoff football action in East Texas this week as four teams, all from our local area will be battling it out for their Regional Championships in quarterfinal action.

- Congratulations are in order for Area Champions the Pleasant Grove Hawks as they move onward and upward, as well as Area Champs the Daingerfield Tigers! Both are moving up to their respective Regional Championships in their quarterfinal games this week. Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to Nashville this week, but as always, congratulations on a super season!

It's an exciting time of year and can be a very disappointing time of year as well. This past weekend we had some area high school football teams play their last game of the year and a few that are still battling. We have to say goodbye to Texas High, Arkansas High, Jefferson, and Foreman as they all wrapped up their seasons this past weekend...
