Texarkana Police Identify Woman Seen Stealing From Elderly Man, Have You Seen Her?
A couple of weeks ago the Texarkana Texas Police were asking for help in identifying a young woman who was seen stealing from an elderly man after helping him to his vehicle.
They have now identified the woman as 21-year-old Alicia Jay Linville and now a warrant has been issued in her name for felony theft.
In a recap of what happened, according to TTPD's Facebook page the elderly man said;
We got a report from an elderly man who said that his wallet had been stolen from his car by a woman. He told us that she'd rushed over to help him after he fell going down some steps and he thought that she was a nice lady. However, after walking him to his car, she apparently noticed his wallet laying in the driver's seat and grabbed it while he wasn't watching.
He then noticed that his wallet was gone but assumed he left it at home but that was not the case. A few days later he received a call from the police saying that his wallet was found in a women's restroom trash can.
Detective Billingsley was working the case and found surveillance video that showed the theft.
If you know where Linville is, please call (903) 798-3116 or (903) 798-3170 you can also call Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers (903) 793-STOP.
The TTPD also stated;
We've saved her a spot in the Bi-State Jail and look forward to getting her checked in soon. We'll even provide her free transportation here - albeit one way.
You gotta love our police department's sense of humor.
