
From Teen Taste Labs to Adult Classes: Free Cooking Fun Awaits
If you are ready and have a hunger to learn how to cook the Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department just announced that the kitchen at the Southwest Center will be the place to be with a great lineup of cooking classes for teens and for adults.
Teen Taste Lab: Hands-On Fun in the Kitchen
Starting Thursday, August 7, get ready for the Teen Taste Lab. This is a hands-on space for teens ages 13 and up where they can try new recipes and taste test their creations, plus learn some new skills and no parent is required.

Taste Buds: Creative Cooking for Adults
Adults will have the Taste Buds class, a series full of flavor taking place on Thursdays, August 14, 21, and 28. This class is for ages 18 and older. The class will focus on cooking from the heart, getting creative in the kitchen and making connections through food.
Healthy Smoothies and a Pound Class to Finish the Month
The month of August will wrap up with a Smoothie Social on Thursday, August 28. You can start the morning at 9 AM with a pound class led by Greta. At 10 AM, join Heather as she shows you the basics on how to make healthy and tasty smoothies.
Free Cooking Class in Texarkana When and Where
And to sweeten the deal, these classes are all free! All the classes will be held on Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM unless otherwise stated.
