There has been an arrest made in connection with the hit and run that took place Sunday night (March 30) in Texarkana.

Texarkana Texas Police have arrested 32-year-old Patrick Cridell Jr. for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon for the alleged hit and run..

Detectives were able to find video from cameras in the area and piece together what happened.. According to a press release,

 Around 6:00 p.m., the victim was walking across a church parking lot in the 300 block of W. 25th Street when a silver Kia suddenly left the roadway, accelerated, and struck him.

The victim managed to drag himself across the street to Highland Park Elementary. The victim was found early the following day, lying close to a door at the school by a school employee.

Later in the morning, Texarkana Texas Police Department's Detective Thomas Shaddix was driving through the neighborhood and found the damaged Kia outside Cridell's house. Cridell's house was only four blocks from the crime scene. Later in the day, detectives were able to confirm that Cridell was the driver. He was arrested and is now being held at the Bi-State Justice Building.
