Texarkana’s 5th Annual Resource Day Brings Lifesaving Support to Those in Need

The Texarkana Homeless Coalition is once again bringing together dozens of services and resources for people in our community during its 5th Annual Resource Day on Thursday, October 8.

The event will take place from 8 AM to 2 PM at Mission Texarkana, located at 620 West 4th Street in Texarkana, Texas.

One-Stop Access to Important Services for the Homeless in Texarkana

Resource Day is designed to help anyone in our community who is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless connect with services that can often take weeks or even months to access.

You may not realize it, but we have more homeless people in Texarkana than I ever thought. This event is big!

Those in need will have the opportunity to receive several free services and essential items like hygiene kits, haircuts, showers, food, clothing, personal care products, housing information, veterans services, medical care, mental health resources, Texas identification cards, employment counseling, and job placement assistance.

Organizers say the annual event helps connect people with support services in one convenient location and provides immediate assistance with everyday needs.

Volunteers and Vendors Needed for Texarkana's Annual Resource Day

Community organizations, businesses, and individuals interested in participating can still sign up to serve as vendors, volunteers, or make donations to support the event.

This is a wonderful event helping those in need who are trying to better themselves.

The deadline for vendor applications is Monday, October 5.
