Texarkana Restaurant Owner Arrested on Indecent Assault Charges Following Police Investigation
A 51-year-old Texarkana man who owns The Benchmark American Brasserie and Cafe Lucille was arrested Friday afternoon following an investigation by the Texarkana Texas Police Department.
According to police, Jason Williams was charged with Indecent Assault after allegations of inappropriate behavior involving a former employee.

Investigation in Texarkana Began After Social Media Post
The investigation started in May after a report was made claiming Williams made inappropriate comments to a teenage female employee at his business.
After the incident, the employee’s parent shared details of the allegation on social media. Police say several women then came forward in the comments, alleging they had experienced inappropriate behavior from Williams in the past.
Detective Lauren Freeman contacted many of the individuals who reported previous incidents and began gathering information.

Former Employee Reports 2025 Incident
During the investigation, an 18-year-old woman told detectives that while working for Williams in August 2025, he allegedly pulled down her shirt and bra, exposing her breast.
The woman said she immediately told him to stop and slapped him. She also reported the incident to several people at the business before leaving her job because of what had happened.
Although the incident was not reported to police at the time, she later provided details to investigators during the current investigation.
Arrest Made Friday in Texarkana
Based on the evidence collected, Detective Freeman obtained an arrest warrant charging Williams with Indecent Assault.
Police said Williams was stopped by an officer while driving on Friday afternoon and was taken into custody. He was transported to the Bi-State Jail and booked on the charge.
Williams was released Saturday after posting a $50,000 bond.
As with all criminal charges, the allegations remain accusations, and Williams is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
