Texarkana Independent School District is bringing a high-tech classroom on wheels to its elementary schools. The new Mobile STEM Lab lets students dive into hands-on fun with robotics, coding, and engineering projects. It’s designed to spark curiosity and build skills like problem-solving and teamwork.

You are invited to join the celebration to celebrate the launch at a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at Waggoner Creek Elementary located at 6335 Gibson Lane, Texarkana, TX 75503. The event, hosted with the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, includes a grab-and-go breakfast, Local Habit Coffee, and TISD Tiger fan gear. Guests can tour the lab, watch students in action, and meet the educators behind this exciting program.

The Mobile STEM Lab will travel to schools and offer activities aligned with Texas education standards. Students will get to program robots, build structures, and explore science in a way that makes learning real and engaging.

“We want to inspire kids with interactive STEM experiences,” said Mindy Gennings, Director of College and Career Readiness.

This mobile lab ensures every student gets access to cutting-edge tools, preparing them for bright futures. Come see how Texarkana ISD is driving innovation, one stop at a time!
