Texarkana Police Make Arrest in Monday Night’s Homicide
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department have made an arrest in connection to the shooting on Monday night that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old.
On Wednesday evening August 14 the Criminal Investigation Division arrested a 17-year-old suspect at 7:05 PM in Texarkana, Arkansas. The arrest came after an extensive investigation into the death of 17 year-old Marious L. Bradley, who died from several gunshots on August 12, 2024, at 2511 E. 24th Street.
Detectives have been gathering evidence and piecing together the events that took place before this tragic shooting. Detectives interviewed witnesses and used forensic analysis to establish a clear link between the suspect and the crime scene.
Interim Chief Ed Chattaway stated in a press release,
With the dedication our detectives who have been working non-stop and the cooperation from the community have been instrumental in bringing this suspect into custody. We remain committed to ensuring the safety of our residents and will continue to work tirelessly to seek justice for the victim and his family.
The juvenile that was arrested has now been charged with felony Capital Murder and 3 counts of felony Terroristic Act. He will be transported to a Juvenile Detention Center outside of Miller County, Arkansas.
This investigation is not over. Police are encouraging anyone with information, no matter how small to please come forward.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department also stated,
