
Texarkana Police Need Help Locating Man in Alleged Shooting Saturday
Texarkana Police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred on Saturday evening (February 8) at an apartment complex on the 1400 block of Richmond Road.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department's Facebook page, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 8:30 PM Saturday. After questioning a few witnesses the investigators found out there had been an argument between neighbors and it escalated. One of the men shot his gun at the ground. Well, that bullet ricocheted and struck two people. then the shooter and another person allegedly assaulted one of the victims before fleeing the scene.

Officers later located and arrested Morgan Lanham inside an apartment at the complex. He has been charged with assault. The TTPD is still searching for the other person who fled the scene 27-year-old Dantray Copeland. Authorities believe he is the shooter. Authorities think Copeland left the area with help from someone. Detectives were in the process of obtaining warrants for his arrest as of early Sunday morning. The warrants are for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Fortunately, both victims were brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
