The Texarkana Twins announced on Monday two more additions to their roster for the 2019 season. Right-handed pitcher Brock Booker and infielder Bobby Lada of Bossier Parish Community College will both be coming to join the Twins, according to a press release.
“We think we got a couple diamonds in the rough with Bobby and Brock,” Director of Baseball Operations Brian Nelson said. “Bobby is already doing some really good things this spring and Brock is a physical monster at 6’6”. These two have a lot of potential; we are really excited about watching these two young guys compete and develop this summer.”

Lada, the Houston native, a freshman at Bossier Parish Community College, where he has played in 21 games thus far in 2019. He has hit two home runs with 15 RBI while posting a .391 batting average. He has 25 hits, seven of which are doubles, with seven walks and four stolen bases. Has found himself all over the infield at times, a trend that could continue during his time in Texarkana.

Brock Booker, a 6’ 6” native of Many, Louisiana, is also in his freshman season at Bossier Parish Community College. Brock is currently redshirting this season as he transitions to a full time pitcher. Brock played his high school baseball at Many High School where he was also an outstanding hitter, batting .375 with 33 hits, six doubles, 20 RBI, and 25 runs scored.
Please support your Texarkana Twins and see Bobby and Brock when the season starts on May 29, when the Twins host the Baton Rouge Rougarou at 7:05PM at George Dobson Field.
