Effective Monday, August 24, Texarkana Water Utilities will resume utility disconnects and penalties for late payments. Texarkana Water Utilities announced that the grace period is over for disconnections and late penalties which have been suspended since March due to COVID-19 in effort to help families who faced financial challenges during the pandemic.

Texarkana Water Utilities will resume utility disconnects and penalties for late payments effective Monday, August 24th for the residents of Texarkana, Arkansas, except for customers who have been laid off or put on reduced hours due to COVID-19. To qualify for a temporary exemption, a letter from their employer will be required to verify the customer’s status.

Need a payment plan? According to the website, six-month payment plans are available for accounts in arrears. Customers will be required to pay their current bill and pay an acceptable portion of any past-due amount.

Payment options are as follows:

  •  Auto draft
  • Online payments
  • Phone payments
  • Payments via mail
  • Pay via drop box and drive-thru at 801 Wood Street.
