New Years Day can't get here any faster for the Arkansas Razorback football team as 2012 has been one steady stream of bad news for the Hogs.

Early this morning, another Razorback football player was arrested. This time it was defensive end Christopher Smith. He was arrested on a failure to appear warrant stemming from a traffic ticket he received in Farmington on May 4. He posted a $415 bond and was released. His court date in Farmington has been set for December 19. Smith becomes the 7th Razorback arrested in 2012. No word from John L. Smith as to his status for Saturdays game against Kentucky.

Yesterday,  Tyler Wilson was involved in an accident on I-540 which, fortunately, did not injure the Hogs start QB. Coaches say he was fine in practice, although they expected him to be a little bit sore today. He was rear ended by another vehicle.

Matt Jones of the NWA Times reports that, when asked about Tyler's accident, Paul Petrino responded:

"You don't want to answer your phone this year...you just want to run from it."

That just about sums it up coach.
