It can be a tough job trying to find the best margarita in town. They might be too sour, too much mix or not enough tequila.

There is a place in town that always has a great Rita and it's not just my opinion. This local restaurant is top in the Yelp reviews too.

I'm talking about Zapata's Mexican Restaurant. If you didn't know, they reopened a few weeks ago after finishing renovations due to a fire back in November of last year.

During Happy Hour they tend to serve these up in a big classic styrofoam cup. I wouldn't be surprised if it's because they run out of the regular Rita glasses, that's how good they are!

But, and this is a big but...you must be careful with these margaritas because they are strong. One is good, two is even better but after that? Just make sure you tell your friends you are not responsible for anything you say and please make sure you get a safe ride home.

Zapata's is located in downtown Texarkana at 217 Walnut and with the downtown area now an Arts and Entertainment District that means you can take that Rita right out the door and walk around downtown for a couple of hours.
