Tips Lead to Capture of Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender
Anthony Fitzgerald Turner, 54, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured.
Turner, a high-risk sex offender, was wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. The arrest came as the result of a Crime Stoppers tip, and a reward of up to $3,000 will be paid.
Working off of tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force, including Department of Public Safety (DPS) Special Agents and the Texas Attorney General’s Office, coordinated with the Houston Police Department to locate and apprehend Turner in northeast Houston. For more information, see his captured bulletin.
Turner had been wanted since June 2016 when he absconded from his last known address in Houston. His criminal history includes convictions for aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and burglary.
So far in 2018, DPS and other agencies have arrested 16 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including nine sex offenders and seven gang members.
Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.
