
Cass County – Texas DPS Searching for Hit & Run Driver

Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are now searching for the perpetrator of a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened on Hwy 59 in Cass County on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
According to the preliminary report, Cass County resident Lester Howell (no age given), was riding his electric bike on Highway 59 at County Road 3658. The incident happened between the hours of 7:30 PM and 10 PM Wednesday night. According to DPS Troopers, Howell appeared to be travelling southbound on this long dark stretch of Hwy 59 between the DPS Weigh Station and Love's Truck Stop when the crash allegedly happened.
Local and State authorities could use your help in finding the person responsible for this.
