A Queen City, Texas, man and Pleasant Grove ISD Special Education teacher in Texarkana, has been arrested on multiple felony charges following an investigation by local authorities.

Jeffrey Parker, 63, was taken into custody Thursday in Cass County by the Texas Department of Public Safety on warrants issued by the department.

Parker, who is employed as a special education teacher at Pleasant Grove ISD, is accused of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Disabled Person and three counts of Improper Relationship between an Educator and Student.

Investigation Began After Anonymous Tip

According to officials, the investigation began Monday after Pleasant Grove ISD Police Chief Jake Klar received an anonymous tip and notified the department.

Detective Tabitha Smith conducted the investigation and developed evidence supporting the allegations, leading to the issuance of multiple felony warrants.

Suspect Being Held, Transfer Expected

Parker is currently being held in the Cass County Jail and is expected to be transferred to the Bi-State Jail in the next few days.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department says the case remains an active and ongoing investigation. TTPD also noted they appreciate the assistance and cooperation of the Pleasant Grove ISD Police Department.
