Pork on a Fork Fundraiser Returns to Hooks April 18

Texarkana Resources for the Disabled and Runnin’ WJ Ranch are teaming up for a flavorful night of food, fun, and fundraising at the annual “Pork on a Fork” event.

The fundraiser is set for Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Ramage Farms in Hooks, just a little West of Texarkana, Texas.

A Night of Food, Music, and Giving

Guests can enjoy a pork-themed dinner, beverages, and live entertainment by Hailey Wright, all while supporting programs that benefit individuals with developmental disabilities. Proceeds will help fund services such as equine therapy, housing support, job training, life skills programs, and advocacy.

Tickets are $60 per person or $100 per couple.

Kiss the Pig Contest Adds Fun Twist

One of the evening’s highlights will be the “Kiss the Pig” contest, where the twin city mayors will compete in a fundraising challenge. The mayor with the fewest votes, at $5 per vote, will end up kissing a pig. I would tell you where to vote, but voting has closed. We will have to wait and see at the event which Texarkana Mayor has to pucker up for Porky.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses and organizations interested in supporting the cause.
