It's hard to believe that TLC Burgers and Fries has been closed in Texarkana since June 19 due to smoke damage from a fire. The popular burger eatery has been in business since the early-'80s. Our community was definitely at a loss when they had to close for remodeling.

At one point they were planning and hoping to reopen in November but that obviously didn't work out as planned.

Everybody Wants to Know 'When will TLC reopen?'

TLC posted on their Facebook page this week:

Small update, we are working as hard as possible to reopen but contractors work on their own time, goal is to see everyone by the end of February… thank you so much to everyone that’s reached out to us

Their Facebook page did go on to say contractors are working hard and everyone is doing their best during times like these.

They also mentioned that their famous “Red River Sand” that they use on their famous fries is available for purchase at GQ Look located at 213 East Broad in Texarkana, Arkansas.

What's your favorite burger that you always ordered at TLC? I always ordered the jalapeno cheeseburger.
