Top 5 Scary Movies to Watch on Halloween
Halloween is just days away and there's just something special about inviting some friends over for a few drinks and snacks and turning off the lights to watch a scary movie.
There are a ton of horror flicks to choose from out there but I have narrowed it down to my Top 5 Scary Movies to Watch on Halloween.
1. The Town That Dreaded Sundown
I picked this one because you can't go wrong with a cult classic and a true story about the notorious Phantom killer, who stalked the streets of Texarkana in 1946 wearing a hooded mask. Most of the film was shot around Texarkana using several local people for some of the gut-wrenching scenes in this slasher movie. I was fortunate enough to be an extra in this movie and you can get a glimpse of me dancing in the prom scene. The main stars in this movie were actors Ben Johnson, Andrew Prine and Dawn Wells. This fact-based movie still remains an unsolved mystery today. Who was the Phantom killer? Guess we'll never know.
2. Halloween
Halloween just wouldn't be complete without watching this classic, 1978 movie that starred Jamie Lee Curtis being stalked by a knife-wielding masked man known as Michael Myers. His white mask was molden from William Shatner's face and after watching this movie, Halloween was never the same.
3. Nightmare on Elm Street
Turn off the lights but beware -- don't go to sleep, you could get attacked by the hideous Freddy Krueger with those razor sharped claws. He's what nightmares are all about.
4. "It"
As far back as I can remember, I never liked clowns, there was just something creepy about them that I didn' like. After watching the original movie "It," and the new version that featured the clown Pennywise it just confirmed why I don't like, clowns. Now whenever I see a clown, I can't help but think about Pennywise, the razor sharped teeth clown who's out to devour you. Don't get too close!
5. Annabelle: Creation
When the movie Chucky came out kids never looked at their dolls the same. I always thought there weas some kind of creep factor with dolls anyway and the movie Annabelle just reaffirmed that.
