Trace Adkins Reveals New Album, 2017 Tour Dates
One of country music's legendary baritones is back. Trace Adkins has announced the release of a new album in 2017, accompanied by a string of new tour dates.
Adkins launches his 2017 tour on Feb. 4 in Orlando, Fla., less than two months before the release of his new album, Something's Going On, which drops March 31.
Something's Going On marks Adkins' 12th studio album — his first in four years — and his first release on his new label, Wheelhouse Records, a division of BBR Music Group. Preceded by album cuts "Jesus and Jones" and "Lit," Adkins' first official single,"Watered Down," will be released to country radio March 13.
"When I first heard 'Watered Down' I felt an immediate connection with what I wanted to say," Adkins says in a press release. "A man comes to a point in his life where he begins to reflect on his past and what he’s learned and that's what fueled this song. If you've led the kind of life I've led, at some point you have to temper your vices.”
The rest of Adkins' new album is tattooed with some of Nashville's most respected songwriters including Tyler Farr, Craig Campbell and Shane McAnally. Something's Going On was produced by Mickey Jack Cones.
