Tracy Byrd Coming to Texarkana’s Newest Event Venue Aug. 29
Guess who's coming to Crossties? Tracy Byrd will be performing an intimate acoustic show on Saturday, August 29, at Texarkana's newest live entertainment venue located downtown.
Byrd a native Texan first burst onto the country music charts in 1993 with a song called "Holdin' Heaven," and from that moment he went on to release a string of hits such as, "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo," "Watermelon Crawl," "I'm From The Country," "Big Love," and many more. His biggest hit was "Keeper of The Stars,' which earned him "Song of The Year" at the 1996 ACM Awards. Having recorded 34 singles, 10 studio albums, four of which were certified gold, one platinum, and one double platinum.
Just last year, Byrd celebrated his 25th Anniversary since the release of "Holdin' Heaven." Back in the '90s, Tracy Byrd was dominating the country charts with another Tracy, Foreman, Ark., native Tracy Lawrence. The two still remain good friends, today.
It's been a while since Tracy Byrd has performed in Texarkana but I can tell you this, he's one of the most genuine, nicest people in the music business, having met him several times throughout my radio career.
Local band Relentless will be open the show at 8PM.
