Travel the Hot Dog Highways Across the U.S. in a Giant Wiener
How would you like to drive the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile? I mean, after all, it's not every day you see a giant Weiner rolling down the highway. Imagine the looks you'll get!
About a year ago this month the highly popular Weinermobile was in Texarkana and stopped off at the radio station to give the airstaff a personal tour. We didn't know what to expect but the tour was highly informative and fun, especially by the crew the "hot doggers" as they are named. I especially loved the sunroof over the seats in the Weinermobile, talk about heating up your buns!
The outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic, graduating college students, who travel the Hot Dog Highways of America in the fun-loving 27-foot-long Oscar Mayer Weinermobile told us what is required to become a driver.
All applicants must have a great sense of humor with plenty of hot dog puns and jokes in order to be considered for the one-of-a-kind job.
This one-year, full-time gig behind the wheel will cover an average of 20,000 miles and more than 20 states along the way, according to their press release.
"This job will be something you will cherish for a lifetime," said the Hot Dogger.
The Hotdoggers will be responsible for promoting products as well as attending more than 200 events throughout the year as the spokesperson for Oscar Mayer. There are approximately 6 Weinermobiles that will also have to be maintained in all regions along with creating content on social media on various platforms and handing out more than 250,000 Weiner Whistles each year.
Oscar Mayer is currently recruiting its next class of drivers for its iconic Wienermobile.
Applicants should have a BA or BS, preferably in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, or marketing, though applicants are not limited to these degrees.
Less than 1 percent of applicants are typically selected for the 12 positions, making it statistically easier to get accepted into an Ivy League university than be granted acceptance into Oscar Mayer’s coveted Hotdogger class.
Do you have what it takes to cut the mustard? If so, you could be one of 12 hot doggers to earn a one-year, full-time gig behind the wheel of the Weinermobile. If you ever wished to be an Oscar Mayer wiener, here's your chance to make your dream come true.
Please send your resume and cover letter by reaching out to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit oscarmayer.com/wienermobile to apply for the Wienermobile spokesperson position. January 31, is the last day to apply for this position that will not only bring a smile to your face but to millions of Americans nationwide.
