Two Pedestrians Struck By Vehicle In Texarkana, Driver Arrested
A man and woman were seriously injured in the early evening on Wednesday, December 5 after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Stateline Avenue in Texarkana.
Vehicle Hits 2 Pedestrians on Stateline Avenue & Driver Flees Scene
The southbound vehicle hit the pedestrians with severe injuries in the 4800 block of Stateline. The incident took place around 4:30 PM. The driver initially fled the scene, crossing into Arkansas and parking behind a nearby business. However, after a brief time, he returned.
Police quickly apprehended 34-year-old Kyle Clark, who now faces charges including leaving the scene of a crash. He is currently being held at the Miller County Jail, with a hold placed on him pending a warrant from Texas authorities.
The names and conditions of the injured couple remain unknown at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
