Two PG Baseball Players on Dixie Pre-Majors World Series Team
Two Pleasant Grove Baseball players are on the Arkansas Dixie Pre-Majors team that is playing in the World Series in Florida.
Paul Bowers and David Singleton from Pleasant Grove are on the Arkansas Titans that are representing the state in the Dixie Pre-Majors World Series that is being played beginning this weekend in Chipley, Florida.
The two Hawks players bolster the pitching staff for the team that recently won the 17-u Arkansas State Championship in the tournament held in Camden, Arkansas. The traveling team won two tournaments in Texarkana earlier this summer, including the Phil Sandoval Memorial tournament named after the late Texarkana Gazette Sports Writer.
The team consists of players from Hot Springs to Texarkana.

Opening ceremonies are Friday night in the Florida Panhandle city of Chipley which is located about 40 miles north of Panama City Beach. The Titans first game is Saturday at noon. They will play again Sunday in the double elimination tournament.
