Two Vehicle Crash Claims the Life of Ashdown Woman

At approximately 8:41AM this morning January 25, 2017 Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a two vehicle crash on US-71, about 1.5 miles north of Texarkana.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2009 Mack Truck-Tractor, towing a Trailer, was traveling north in the right lane of US-71 when struck from behind by a 2007 Honda 4-door passenger car.

The Honda driver, Courtney Kaylyn Jewell, 23 year old female from Ashdown, Ark., was pronounced dead on scene by JP Nancy Talley.

The Truck-Tractor driver, Glenn Paul Fuller, 34 year old male from Texarkana and passenger, Doug Cochran, also from Texarkana, TX were not injured.
