UAHT Adult Education Programs to Host Open House in Hope and Texarkana
HOPE/TEXARKANA, AR – The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) is opening its doors to the public with a special Open House event on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at both the Hope and Texarkana campuses, offering a fantastic opportunity for adults to discover free educational services.

 What to Expect at the Open House

This open house is part of a statewide effort to help adults reach their academic and career goals. Whether you’re looking to earn your GED, improve your English, or gain new job skills, UAHT has a program for you. Visitors can tour the facilities, meet the friendly instructors and staff, and learn about a variety of programs, including college readiness, English as a Second Language (ESL), and workforce training.

A Message from the Director

“This is a chance for anyone thinking about going back to school, changing careers, or improving basic skills to see if UAHT Adult Education is the right fit,” said Pam Warren, UAHT Adult Education Director. “We’re opening our doors to show the community that it’s never too late to start learning again.”

Connect with Local Employers

The event is also a great chance for local employers and public service agencies to get involved. They are invited to participate at no cost to connect with potential employees and highlight the crucial link between education and a skilled workforce.
