Breaking: Early Wednesday Morning Shooting Leaves One Texarkana Man Dead

Reports are coming in of an early Wednesday morning shooting incident in Texarkana, leaving one man dead.

Texarkana Texas Police are reporting on their Facebook page that an apparent vehicle burglary was interrupted around 4:20 this morning by a homeowner on N. Park Road in Texarkana, Texas.

During the confrontation, the homeowner shot one of the two men allegedly burglarizing the vehicle; that man, who has yet to be identified, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The investigation is in the very early stages, according to police, and will be updated as they know more.
