Do you ever wonder what's in a town's name? There are some really weird names for towns and communities all across the USA that leave you scratching your head and wondering, why?

Makes you wonder sometimes that a bunch of people got together drinking and turned into a game and the names stuck. Let's take a look at some the most bizarre, unusual, weird names across the country. Let's begin with the Ark-La-Tex or four-state area as we call it.

Booger Hollow, Arkansas - I can only imagine how this name evolved. A real good way to end a date. Just tell them you're from Booger Hollow and you never have to see that person again. Oh, let's not forget about Toad Suck or Bald Knob, Arkansas.

Ding Dong, Texas -  And I don't think we're talking about the Hostess Ding Dongs here. How about Lickskillett, Uncertain, Cut & Shoot, and my favorite, Gun Barrel City, sounds like Texas.

Waterproof, Louisiana - a coastal state c'mon, really! Ever been to Dry Prong? Or seen Grosse Tete? Careful how you pronounce this name!

Okay, Oklahoma - It's just that, Okay. Let's visit Bushyhead, OK, or better yet, Cookietown, Oklahoma. Sounds yummy to me!

Now, let's take a look at a few other states in the U.S. with downright weird names. Wonder what they were smoking to come up with these names?

Booger Hole, West Virginia - Let me guess, the same person who named Booger Hollow, Arkansas. Kleenex?

Boring, Oregon - Not a place you want to stay very long.

Number Eight, Missouri - Right up there with Ninety-Six, South Carolina sounds like a radio station.

Satan's Kingdom, Massachusetts - Definitely the place you do not want to live, I hear it's hot there.

Frog Eye, Alabama - Think I'll settle for Bacon Level, Alabama because I love bacon!

Elephant Butte, New Mexico -  I assume that's pronounced like Butte, Montana otherwise...

Accident, Maryland - Let me guess how they got their name.

Worms, Nebraska - Apparently, cornhuskers are not the only thing Nebraska is known for.

Mosquitoville, Vermont - Bring your bug spray, that's all I can say.
