Is the Texas High/Arkansas High crosstown rivalry about to end?The answer to that question is thankfully no!!!! There has been concern and speculation that the long running series might be interrupted due to scheduling problems and the recent one sided nature of the game.

The game was actually moved to the first game of the season because of scheduling problems and they will have to figure out where to put it next year.

However both Arkansas High Coach Todd Ledford and Texas High Coach Barry Norton were at the radio station this morning and said the game is not going anywhere and that they will be getting to together to make sure these uncertainties do not crop up again.

That is a relief to many, who fill that a big part of their year, particularly football season just would not be the same without the rivalry game, which has repeatedly drawn national attention.

As for this years game, it will be played Friday Night at Tiger Stadium at Grim Park on the Texas side. Kickoff is 8 p.m. Texas High has sold out of their tickets. Arkansas High has  some tickets left and can be purchased at the Athletic Field House next to Razorback Stadium.

Both schools will be providing shuttle bus service both to and back from the stadium Friday night. A game ticket is required to get on the bus.
