What’s Your Favorite Tootsie Roll Pop Flavor
Tootsie Roll Pops have been around through many childhoods. If you love pops, which one of these flavors would you pick first if you could reach through the screen and grab one?
A little history about the Tootsie Roll Pop. According to Wikipedia Tootsie Roll Pops were invented in 1931 by Lukas R. Weisgram, an employee of The Sweets Company of America. The suckers became so popular that the company later changed its name to Tootsie Roll Industries and now the company's website is simply Tootsie.com.
Chocolate was the original flavor which makes total sense but they sure don't pack many chocolates in a mixed bag. I have to search through several bags to get the best flavor mix. In my research I have found that Tootsie Pops come in chocolate, cherry, orange, grape and raspberry which are the original five flavors but I've also found strawberry-watermelon and caramel. I'm not a big fan of the caramel. According to the company's website, the fab-five flavors have been "expanded to include a new sixth flavor that alternates among Pomegranate, Strawberry-Watermelon and now Lemon flavored hard candy." I also see they have added a wild berry line of flavors.
