Country newcomer William Michael Morgan kicks off the 2016 Main Street El Dorado   summer concert series this Saturday, June 25.

Warner Nashville recording artist William Michael Morgan. This Mississippi-born country singer-songwriter was named one of Rolling Stone’s “Country Artists to Watch” in 2016. His debut single, “I Met a Girl,” was co-written with Sam Hunt, Old Dominion’s Trevor Rosen, and Shane McAnally and is featured on his self-titled debut EP, I Met a Girl, and is steadily climbing the charts.

Morgan a singer/songwriter who grew up listening to classic country music thanks to his parents. When Morgan was only six years old he was fascinated by country music legend Marty Robbins, when he turned nine he taught himself to play songs by the late great Keith Whitley and Mark Chesnutt. He was inspired by watching a Dierks Bentley concert when he was just 12 and eventually formed a band with some local musicians that performed around his hometown of Vicksburg, Miss. When Morgan turned 18 years old he picked up and moved to Nashville to pursue his musical career. Don't miss William Michael Morgan starting at 7PM.

The outdoor concert series is free to the public and will feature nationally recognized musicians performing on Union Square in the heart of historic downtown El Dorado. The concerts are scheduled for the fourth Saturday of June, July and August.
