Wow, 3 Big Winners In Arkansas Scholarship Lottery

This was a big week of wins for three people playing games from the Arkansans  Scholarship Lottery. Two people were instant game winners and one was a Play It Again® winner. 

The winning week in Arkansas started with a scratch-off ticket.

P. Lewis of Little Rock won a $300,000 lottery prize playing the $10 Big X instant game. Lewis claimed her prize on Monday, March 11.

She said in a press release she was on her way home from church when she felt,

Something just said stop and buy a ticket

 

She stopped at Ziya & Zayn 786 LLC on 5105 W. 65th St. in Little Rock and bought three Big X tickets and got in her car to scratch them off. There was no win on the first two tickets but on the last row of her third ticket, she won the top prize of  $300,000.

Lewis plans on purchasing a house and a new vehicle with the money and help care for her granddaughter.

The second big winner was R. Penaloza of Stuttgart, winning $200,000 with the $10 Jumbo Bucks Extra instant game. She claimed her prize on Monday, March 11 too.

The winning ticket was purchased at Stuttgart Kwik Mart Inc. on 195 S. Park Ave. in Stuttgart.

Penaloza scratched off her winning ticket at home with her husband. She even asked him to confirm what she was seeing.  She told the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery office,

I cried, and he cried. I just couldn’t believe it.

She plans to buy a new home with her prize money.

One more top prize remains in the Jumbo Bucks Extra instant game.

Winner number three, V. Grandy of Pine Bluff.  She won $250,000 in the February 29 Play It Again drawing. Her win came from the $5 Ultimate 7’s ticket, and she claimed her prize on March 12.

Grandy didn't realize she won until the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery official called her to let her know. She had received notifications that she won but she thought it was a scam. Lucky for her it wasn't.

She said in a press release,

It’s just hard to believe. This is more money than I ever had, even working two jobs.

Grady is going to use the money to pay some bills and help her children.
