Casting Calls For Seussical Jr Production in Texarkana

If you and your kids are a fan of the Dr. Seuss books and movies then you're gonna love the musical play Seussical Jr coming in February and March 2014 to the Silvermoon Children's Theatre in downtown Texarkana. The best news is you can audition for a role in this whimsical fairytale. Seussical Jr auditions are coming up on December 16 and they are by reservation only! If you want your child to be involved, drop us an email to silvermoonchildrenstheatre@gmail.com so we can send you an audition packet and reserve your child an audition time slot. (If you have already done so, please disregard this message.) Your child is officially signed up when you have received a confirmation email.

Seussical Jr will be performed February 27 at 7:00 p.m. March 1 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and March 2 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. with a SEUSSY party in between shows to celebrate National Dr. Seuss Day! Make plans to be a part of the FIRST show of Silvermoon Children's Theatre.

In addition, there is a Once Upon a Palooza writing contest that is going on now, brought to you by Workhorse Media. This is a contest for K-12th graders to write an original fairy tale and illustration and submit it to SCT. The winning entry will be adapted to fit the Silvermoon stage and will be performed at the summer show in August. The winner will literally see their dreams come to life before their eyes. This is a unique way of giving kids an outlet to be creative and give kids, who may not want to be on the stage, an avenue help in other areas of the theatre!

Memberships and sponsorships are available. During the month of December, current SCT members can get EXTRA memberships at $10 to give as gifts for the holidays.
