G Is For God’s Great Gifts – The ABCs Of Cancer
When a child is sick with a catastrophic pediatric disease, what is he or she most thankful for?
In the case of Christian, the St. Jude kid who wrote “G Is For God’s Great Gifts,” he appreciates so many things, from the friends he made to the staff who helped him get better. But perhaps most of all, he was grateful for folks like you and me who give generously to make St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital a reality.
During our January visit to the hospital, we heard from parents, patients and their siblings how much they appreciated the contributions we all make.
One mother I met told me that when her son first got sick, she had no idea how she was going to pay for her child’s healthcare. But the great thing about St. Jude is that no family ever receives a bill. Ever. That is a huge thing for St. Jude families to be grateful for! From admission to discharge, everything is covered by your generous donations.
