Stunning Google 'Street View' Tour of Texarkana, Then and Now

2007 does not seem to be that long ago, but just take a look at some of the photos below, there have been some amazing changes.

I started looking up the photos for this story of places around Texarkana from back when Google Maps first started taking pictures around our area, and the oldest pics were from 2007. Man oh man, there have been a lot of changes over the last 17 years, and that's when it hit me, 17 years... then I started doing the math. Never should have done that.

Netflix launched in 2007.
Low Rise Jeans with crop tops were all the rage, not for me, mind you.
MySpace.com was hot, worth about $65 Billion at the time.

Google began its existence in 1998 and by 2007 was well on its way to Internet supremacy. The vehicles with the funny-looking little mounted cameras on top were making the rounds through the highways and byways of America as Google Maps was quickly gaining popularity. Texarkana started showing up in Google Street View pictures as well, grainy, fuzzy, not very good pictures, but pictures nonetheless.
