According to a new study, presented at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies, 50% of those with sleep problems are also afraid of the dark.

Simply put, those who are afraid of the dark are more likely to react to noises they hear in the dark keeping them from sleeping soundly.

The good news is, according to the scientists, phobia's are easily treated.
