It's Christmastime in Texarkana! And you would be surprised just how many people are getting into the holiday spirit in neighborhoods around the city.

Each year one of my favorite things to do is to make some hot cocoa and get a few friends together to go look at all the light displays.

One of the best places to do this is in the Sugar Hill area, in the Tall Oaks subdivision on the Arkansas side of town.

The neighbors there really go all out on decorating their homes with lots of lights and displays that exude a winter wonderland. The surrounding lake shimmers and glows with the ambiance of the perfectly lit homes.

At least two homes have synchronized Christmas light shows with Christmas music you can hear in your vehicle by tuning to a special frequency on your radio.

These pictures do not give it any justice compared to seeing the lights up close in person. Some of these homes would make Clark Griswold envious, to say the least.

I can honestly say that any one of these homes could qualify for the contest but you have to enter for a chance to win!

Thanks to all the folks living there for bringing the Joy of Christmas to everyone young and old in the Texarkana area.

How To Get There

The best way is to get on Sugarhill Road and if you are driving East look for Tall Oak Drive turn left off Sugarhill Road and just follow the road as far as it goes it will take you into that neighborhood on Jack Cullen Drive. If you are traveling West on Sugarhill Road then you would be turning right onto Tall Oak Drive. See Google Maps.
