The Arkansas Razorbacks (13-4 / 2-1 SEC) head to the Bluegrass State tonight to take on the 2nd ranked Kentucky Wildcats (17-1 / 3-0 SEC). The game will be on ESPN starting at 8:00 PM.

The last time the Hogs won at Rupp arena, Mike Anderson was Nolan Richardson's assistant. The Hogs went on to win the National Championship that year. Much has changed since those glory days, but the way Anderson's Hogs have played this year it sure does remind you of the good old days. Each game the Hogs have played, their defense has been smothering.  These young Hogs have given up only 80 points three times this year, and only once did that result in a loss. The problem for this team has been their inconsistent shooting. The last two games have been especially tough for the Hogs as they shot 34% and 39% from the floor against LSU and Ole Miss. If the Hogs hope to win tonight, the offense will have to step up and make some shots against a tough Kentucky defense.

I don't expect the Hogs to win this one, but I do expect them to keep it close and make a good game of it. Who knows though, Mike knows what it's like to win at Rupp. Maybe that pre-game or halftime pep talk will propel these young Hogs to do what seems impossible.
