A Gurdon Arkansas high school football player has died after collapsing during an evening football practice last night shortly after 8pm, about an hour into the team's practice session. The Gurdon school superintendent says sophomore Montel Williams passed away last night.

Yet another traffic fatality in our area. The Texas DPS says that 57 year old Debra Jean Rachel Brown of Doodridge, Arkansas was killed when her vehicle let fm 3129 in Cass County in Northeast Texas and struck a large mound of dirt on the side of the road.

The Hot & Dry weather continues to hang around the four states area. A heat advisory remains in effect for the area for today and tommorrow as daytime highs should reach near 105 degrees today with a heat index of around 108. High temperatures tommorrow should top out at 103.  There is just a slight chance of showers across the area today and tommorrow.

The stock market continues its roller coaster ride. Stocks were down over 630 points on Monday, up over 400 points yesterday and at one point today were down over 400 points in volatile trading on Wall Street.

The Federal Reserve announced yesterday that it will keep interest rates incredibly low into 2013 in an effort to stir ecnomic growth and to calm stock markets not only here but overseas as well.

In Sports:

The Texas Rangers came from 3 runs behind to beat the Seattle Mariners in Arlington last night. Josh Hamilton had the walk-off rbi along with a homer from Ian Kinsler for Texas in the win.
