Most Talked About Haunted Roads in Arkansas are Near Little Rock

It's that time of the year again when traveling through the Natural State in Arkansas can be beautiful but it could turn into a "Supernatural state" quickly depending on what road you find yourself driving down.

Woodson Lateral Road

This just might be the most talked about haunted road in Central Arkansas near Little Rock drivers have reported seeing an apparition of a woman wearing a tattered dress especially when it's raining. Don't pick her up because if you do she will tell you where she lives and when you arrive she vanishes from your vehicle. Legend has it, that the abandoned house she leads you used to belong to her parents, and she was killed in a traffic accident many years ago on Highway 365. This story has become known as the vanishing hitchhiker but also sounds like many other stories about ghostly hitchhikers.

Another haunted road in Arkansas located near Little Rock, people who have driven down this long stretch of highway continue to see things they just can't explain. Besides seeing ghostly apparitions of supposedly the same hitchhiker seen on Woodson Lateral Road, ghostly orbs seem to appear out of nowhere, and to make things even creepier there have been reports of some kind of devilish winged creature that flies toward your window while you are driving and then flies off into the woods.

 Old Redfield Road

This is another reported haunted highway located in Sheridan, Arkansas a Little Rock suburb where people reported seeing ghosts-like figures walking down the road and right into a cemetery. Folks have said their radio and electronic devices quit working for a stretch of the highway. Paranormal activity seems to happen in this area quite a bit according to folks in the local community.

So, I guess the only way to find out if any of the stories mentioned are true is to take a road trip with your friends to see for yourself. Just make sure you take an extra change of underwear because you just might need them.
