Shop With a Cop ‘Patio Party’ Fundraiser Oct. 17

Mark your calendars for this Thursday, Oct. 17, for the Texarkana Arkansas Shop with a Cop 'Patio Party' fundraiser at On the Border restaurant.

According to their Facebook page, The event begins at 12 noon and will continue into the evening hours with a performance at 7PM from Heather Linn & The Deacons. Please come out and support this great cause where a portion of the proceeds will go toward buying Christmas gifts for local children in need from our area. During the Christmas holidays in December, local police are paired up with children and given money to shop at a local department store. Kids have a great time shopping and get to know the officers on a positive personal level. Shop with a Cop normally begins with a procession of squad cars, and fire trucks lights and sirens blaring in front of the Bi-State Justice Center. The entourage then travels to the selected department store where the kids and families will be waiting.

Texarkana Arkansas Police, Fire Department, and other Arkansas-side law enforcement officers will be on location all day and evening at On the Border this Thursday to help raise money.
