Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas receiver Marquel Wade has been suspended by the SEC for Saturday's game against South Carolina for his vicious hit last Saturday on Vandy's punt returner.

The SEC announced their weekly players of the week this morning and Tyler Wilson and Jarius Wright share this weeks top offensive player spot.

The Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas A&M Aggies, both former members of the now defunct Southwest Conference, have been playing each other since Theodore Roosevelt was President. Now that the Aggies are set to join the Hogs in the Southeastern Conference starting next season, the rivalry looks to be set in stone for years to come and I, for one, couldn't be more excited about it.

According to the Kansas City Star, a Missouri booster is saying that the Tigers have an informal invite from the SEC to join the conference. Reports out of Alabama are saying that it appears to be a done deal and that Auburn would move to the SEC East.

The Arkansas Razorbacks take on the Trojans from Troy, Alabama Saturday night at DWR Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. Kickoff is set for 6:30PM and the only way you can watch the game here in town is  on ESPN Gameplan on DirectTV or your favorite sports bar.

The Arkansas Razorbacks host the New Mexico Lobo's Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock and for this game the Hog at midfield will be red, white and blue.

Brad Paisley's burning of an Arkansas Razorback Door Mat has replaced talked about fall practice on many Razorback message boards this morning. In case you've been under a rock and haven't heard, Brad burned the mat to get even with Edens Edge, the band (from Arkansas!) that's touring with him, after they replaced his West Virginia mat with it.
